Christmas photoshoot guide published on HYPE. for KidsLive
The Setup Collective team supplied a guide on dressing kids for a Christmas family photoshoot. Published to the HYPE. for Kids blog exactly as supplied, with the title tag, meta description, tags and URL they specified.
What went live
  • “What Should Kids Wear for a Christmas Family Photoshoot in Dubai?” on the HYPE. for Kids blog, published and visible.
  • Five links inside the post, all checked on the live page: two to setupcollective.ae, one to HYPE. clothing, two to pyjama sets. All normal followed links, none marked nofollow.
  • Featured image, excerpt, four tags, author, search title and meta description all set as specified.
  • Fixed a wrong title tag found while link-checking: the Clothing collection was titled “Backpacks & School Bags”. It is the page the post links to, so it now reads as kids clothing.

Fixed the pages that had no title tag, and repaired 88 internal linksLive
A fresh keyword pull and a full crawl of the store’s own link structure turned up something basic and expensive: two of the biggest collections had no title tag at all, so Google was inventing one. Both sit on search terms with real demand and no difficulty.
What we found
  • Backpacks (63 products) and Insulated Bottles (46 products) had an empty title tag. “School bag” is 2,200 UAE searches a month and “water bottle for kids” is 900, both at zero difficulty, and nothing on our side was claiming them.
  • A 4-product Mini Backpacks page was carrying the “Boys’ School Bags UAE” title, while the real 53-product boys collection had a weaker one. The two were competing with each other.
  • 88 internal links pointed at old URLs that bounce through a redirect, and one pointed at a collection that no longer exists.
  • 90 of 135 collections had no link pointing at them from any page copy, including pages already ranking, like Purple sets at position 5 and Camo at 17.
  • A blog post titled “Top Backpack Trends in UAE for 2025” was earning 642 impressions a month at position 8 and zero clicks. Stale year in the title, 341 words.
What we changed
  • Wrote title tags, descriptions and proper body copy for 7 collections: backpacks, water bottles, camo, drawstring bags, boys, girls and mini backpacks.
  • Rewrote all 88 links to point straight at the final URL, and created the missing redirect.
  • Added links from the new collection copy and the refreshed article out to the collections that had none, so the pages that already rank now get support from the rest of the site.
  • Rewrote and re-dated the trends post for the 2026/27 school year, with its own title tag and six links into the collections.

Month 1 report publishedLive
Thirty days on from the baseline, we pulled every number again and wrote up what moved. The report only claims what we can show: search position and click-through rate, which seasonal demand cannot lift, plus the pages we edited with their before and after.
The headline numbers
  • Google clicks 283 → 638 over matched 28-day windows, average position 15.9 → 12.2, click-through 3.18% → 5.90%.
  • Organic sales tagged in Shopify: 33 orders, AED 8,743, with influencer-coupon and backend gifting orders stripped out.
  • Domain Rating 4.7 → 9.0. Six collection pages we fixed on 8 Aug climbed between 3 and 13 places.
What it says honestly
  • August is peak back-to-school, so the revenue multiple is the season and the work together. Position and click-through are ours alone.
  • Non-brand search is still about 5% of named-query clicks and is behind target. AI-assistant revenue is reported as zero.
  • Three items are still open and named in the report: the spam disavow, 316 oversized images, and the Arabic page lengths.

Moved influencer-coupon sales out of the SEO/GEO numbersLive
Checked whether any sale we counted as “organic” had actually used an influencer’s discount code. Some had — so we moved that credit to Influencer marketing, where it belongs. Organic now only counts shoppers who genuinely found HYPE through search.
What we found
  • The store runs ~300 creator discount codes (personal names like Rasha15, Mav15). Five orders we’d tagged as organic had actually used one of these codes.
  • Most striking: the single “AI / ChatGPT” sale we were proud of had used an influencer code (Mav15) — so it was really an influencer sale. Our AI-sales count is now an honest zero.
What we changed
  • Moved those orders to a new Influencer bucket and re-checked the whole period: 26 orders totalling AED 8,254 came via creator codes. That credit now shows under Influencer, not SEO.
  • The background job now does this automatically for every new order, so organic and influencer never get mixed up again. Generic promos (WELCOME15 etc.) are correctly left as-is.

Back-to-school hero video published on YouTubeLive
Put the “Back to School Is Real” brand film on YouTube, set up for search — YouTube is the world’s second-biggest search engine, so an optimised video is a free extra way for parents searching “back to school UAE” to find HYPE.
What we did
  • Title written around what parents actually search: “Back to School 2026 UAE — HYPE Kids Backpacks & School Bags”.
  • Description written with the target keywords and direct links to the shop (backpacks, back-to-school, lunch bags, bottles, pencil cases), so viewers can click straight through to buy.
  • Search tags added (back to school UAE, kids backpack, school bags Dubai, etc.).
  • Custom thumbnail made from a real frame of the film plus HYPE’s own on-screen label — authentic, not AI, and matched to the brand.
  • New blog post built around the video on justhype.ae — a “Back to School in the UAE 2026 kit list” page that embeds the film, targets what parents search, and links straight to the shop. This is what actually helps the website’s SEO: the video keeps visitors on the page longer, and Google can now show a video thumbnail next to the page in search (we added the technical video markup for that).

Kept influencer gifting orders out of the sales numbersLive
A traffic spike (1,910+ live sessions, up ~927%) came from influencers posting on Snapchat and Instagram after being gifted product. The gifting was done as free backend orders — so Shopify showed “orders” with AED 0 sales and 0% conversion. Made sure none of that pollutes the SEO picture.
What we found
  • The spike is influencer social traffic (Snapchat ~2,969 visits over the week, plus Instagram), not search — Google files it as “Organic Social”, which is separate from our SEO (“Organic Search”).
  • The 51+ influencer orders are backend gifting (AED 0, tagged InfluencerBTS26), placed by staff — not real website sales.
  • Checked every organic-tagged order: all are real website checkouts with a genuine Google-search visit. No influencer order was ever counted as organic.
What we changed
  • The dashboard now counts online-store sales only — backend gifting orders are excluded from the totals, so the numbers reflect real customer purchases.

Site health fixes — dead links, image labels, page descriptions, social previewsLive
Worked through the latest Ahrefs site scan and fixed the issues that hurt Google ranking and the shopper experience. In plain terms:
What we fixed (in plain english)
  • Dead links (18 “page not found” errors). Old links like /collections/water-bottles, /collections/kids-backpacks and /collections/school-backpacks led nowhere because those collections were renamed. We set up automatic forwarding so anyone (shopper or Google) who hits an old link is sent straight to the right live page instead of a dead end. 16 forwards in total.
  • Broken links inside blog posts. A few blog articles had mistyped links (one literally linked to the words “justhype.ae”, another had a link with stray spaces). Fixed the links directly in the articles so they work now.
  • Product photo labels (492 images). Nearly 500 product photos had no “alt text” — the hidden text label Google reads to understand a picture, and screen-readers read aloud. Every one now carries the product name. Helps image search and accessibility.
  • Blank Google descriptions (127 items). 27 products, 74 collections, 14 pages and 12 blog posts had no meta description — the grey summary line under a Google result. Filled them all in, so listings read properly instead of Google guessing.
  • Social-share previews (site-wide, ~3,160 pages). When a JustHype link was shared on WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram, most pages showed no image or text. We added a proper branded share card and description that now shows on every page when a link is shared.
  • Page headings (~90 pages). Some pages (FAQ, Contact, Wholesale, the blog) had no main heading for Google to read, and a few sale pages had two competing ones. Fixed the theme so every page now has exactly one clear main heading.
  • Title & description lengths (~75 items). Tightened page titles and Google descriptions that were too long (cut off in results) or too short (looked empty) so they read properly in search.
  • One dead outbound link. A blog post linked to a US government food-safety page that blocks automated visits; removed the broken link and kept the text.
Where it’s live
Left deliberately (safe / needs care)
  • 316 large images (10–13 MB each). These slow the site, but swapping product photos on a live store during peak sales can scramble image order and colour options. Best done with a safe image-optimiser app or a supervised batch — not a blind script. Flagged, not rushed.
  • Arabic page titles/descriptions. A set of length warnings sit on the Arabic (/ar) pages, which are handled by the store’s translation app — trimming Arabic properly needs a native check.
  • “Redirect” and “not in sitemap” notices. These are normal Shopify behaviour (product colour-variant links, page-number links, cart and policy pages) and are safe to leave — every Shopify store shows them.

Keyword strategy locked + first pages optimisedLive
Researched the full keyword universe in Ahrefs (1,200+ terms), scored by traffic × conversion × achievability, and SERP-verified that low-DR stores already rank page 1 for the targets. Landed on 5 clusters (~12,000 buyer-intent UAE searches/mo, nearly all KD 0), then shipped cluster 1.
What changed
  • Rewrote the intro copy on /collections/lunch-bags — 138 → 508 characters, with a keyword-anchored H2 (“Kids lunch bags, made to match the backpack”) covering lunch bag / kids lunch bag / insulated / lunch box / bento.
  • Rewrote the intro on /collections/hype-backpacks-uae — 179 → 544 characters; its SEO title now owns the head term: “School Bags & Backpacks UAE | Kids School Bags | Hype”.
  • Updated both collections’ SEO title + meta description. Visible collection names and navigation left unchanged.
  • Documented the 5-cluster plan (school bags, lunch, water bottles, pencil cases, back-to-school) in the Keyword Targets tab and a keyword-map doc.

Dashboard made auto-updatingLive
The Live and Attribution tabs stopped being static. A Cloudflare Worker now pulls fresh data and auto-tags new orders, so the numbers move on their own.
What changed
  • Built a Worker (justhype-seo-data) that pulls Ahrefs, Search Console and GA4, caches to KV and serves the dashboard a live feed.
  • It auto-tags every new organic / AI order (SEO_Organic / GEO_Organic) with no manual step — it already caught one order that had come in untagged.
  • Added a Refresh live button (top of the page) with a loading state, plus a daily auto-refresh.

Organic sales attribution wired to Shopify order tagsLive
Every organic sale is now tagged at the order level, so attribution reads straight from Shopify instead of being estimated.
What changed
  • Created two order tags: SEO_Organic (organic search, last-non-direct click) and GEO_Organic (AI assistants).
  • Applied them to the right orders since 31 Jul — JHAE2038 / 2039 / 2042 / 2055 as SEO, JHAE2040 as GEO (a ChatGPT purchase GA4 identified by transaction id).
  • First result: AED 664 SEO + AED 506 GEO, about a third of store sales, with zero ad spend.

Ahrefs Web Analytics installed on the storeLive
First-party traffic and Core Web Vitals now collect for justhype.ae — one edit covers the English and Arabic storefronts.
What changed
  • Injected the Ahrefs analytics tag into the published theme’s <head> (layout/theme.liquid) via the Shopify Admin API.
  • Confirmed present in the live theme file; verifiable on the storefront (View Source, search “ahrefs”).

Organic, kept honest. SEO + GEO drove – since baseline with zero ad spend. Any order that used an influencer discount code is credited to Influencer marketing instead — even what first looked like our one AI/GEO sale — so these organic numbers only count shoppers who genuinely found HYPE through search.

SEO_Organic · tagged orders

Last-non-direct organic search (Shopify customer journey)

Influencer (coupon) · sample orders

Used a creator affiliate code — credited to Influencer marketing, not organic

Method — so the numbers are defensible. Influencer coupon overrides everything: if an order used a creator affiliate code (the store runs ~300 personal-name codes like Rasha15, Mav15), it’s credited to Influencer marketing and removed from organic — the shopper came via the creator, not search. SEO_Organic = the remaining orders whose journey has an organic-search touch (incl. the store’s sag_organic UTM campaign). GEO_Organic = AI-assistant orders GA4 pins to chatgpt.com. A background job re-checks every order daily (and on Refresh), so tags stay correct hands-off. Generic promos (WELCOME15, BTS, freeship) don’t count as influencer.

Keyword targets · the plan

~12,000 buyer-intent UAE searches/mo, nearly all KD 0. These are the head terms JustHype’s own catalogue answers. Achievability isn’t a guess — low-DR stores already rank page 1 for every one (proof under each cluster). Brand terms (owala, smiggle, stanley) are deliberately excluded: JustHype sells only its own line, so that traffic can’t convert.

Avoided on purpose: bare water bottle (7,400), backpack (3,400), lunch box (3,800) — generic adult/gym intent, page 1 is Amazon (DR 85) and Noon, low conversion for a kids store. Also backpack for men/women, hot water bottle (heat-therapy product), and bare trolley bag (travel luggage, not school). Full detail in the keyword-map doc.
